Where is Republic at Sam Houston located?

Republic at Sam Houston is conveniently located at 1300 Smither Drive, just 0.4 miles from SHSU in Huntsville, Texas.

When is the leasing office open?

Monday–Friday: 10 a.m.–7 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Sunday: 1–5 p.m.

What does rent include?

For your convenience, rent includes high-speed wireless internet, trash, and pest control. Additionally, you will have access to all of our amazing amenities and on-site staff.

How do I get to campus?

Our incredible location makes it easy to get to campus! Residents can take our shuttle to and from campus! We are just a 10-minute walk or bike ride to SHSU’s campus.

Is on-site parking available?

Yes, we have ample parking for both residents and guests.

What floor plans do you offer?

Republic at Sam Houston offers studio, one-, two-, and four-bedroom floor plans, so you can find the fit that’s right for you!

What is an individual lease?

An individual lease is a per-bed lease. You sign a lease for a bed in the apartment and share common areas with roommates. This allows you to live with roommates without having to worry about whether they’re going to pay on time.

What is the process to match roommates?

If you’re looking for a roommate, fill out our roommate-matching questionnaire online when you sign your lease. We will use that information to match you and your future roommate. If you already have a roommate selected, we can help sort out the details with that, too!

Do you have an on-site laundry facility?

Each apartment is furnished with its own washer and dryer.

Do you have a maintenance staff?

Yes, we have maintenance available during office hours as well as 24-hour emergency maintenance service.

Do I have to be a student to live here?

No, you do not.

Is there a security deposit?

Yes, the security deposit is $100.

How do I pay rent?

You’re welcome to pay at the leasing office during business hours by check or money order, or you can pay online!

When is rent due?

Rent is due on the 1st of each month with a grace period until the 3rd day of the month. Rent is considered late beginning on the 4th of each month. Please note that late fees will start to accrue beginning on the 4th day.

How do I apply for an apartment?

You can easily complete the entire leasing process online. Fill out and submit your application, your guarantor’s application, and your roommate preferences form. You can even complete the lease for your new apartment online! We are also available on site if you wish to visit us to apply in person.

I’m an international student — what do I need to sign my lease?

You will need your passport and I-20 form. Please call our office if you have any additional questions.
